The report is as follows: (report has been edited for clarity) "On Friday July 17, 2020 at approximately 0505 hours and while working at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, C-Checkpoint (South) lane #2 we had the occasion to detain the listed suspect; (Lawrence T. Barker) in c/w CCW/Gun Confiscation/Arrest Below are the facts: TSA Manager Lashawn Allen approached the officer while sitting at the Police Podium and advised me that there was a carryon bag that had just been scanned containing a Firearm Activating my WCS, I approached the X-Ray Machine on Lane #2 (South) and observed the bag with what appeared to be a hand gun. I unzipped the carryon bag inside laying on some clothes to the right side of the bag I retrieved the listed 9mm, Zigana PX-9, Semi-Automatic after clearing the weapon. (Weapon was loaded and none in chamber 15 rounds total in the magazine). Gun serial ############## I began questioning Mr. Lawrence T. Barker who admitted the weapon was in his bag but stated the gun belonged to his brother. Sgt. Lawrence on scene. Radio did a 227 checked ok. Per Clerks Office Cad #20-216178, weapon checked on channel #1 checked ok." Mr. Barker was indicted on 10/13/20 for the following: Having Weapons Under Disability - Felony 3rd Degree - (2923.13(A)(2) ) Carrying A Concealed Weapon - Felony 4th Degree - (2923.12(A)(2)) Due to COVID and among other things, he is still in the pre-trial phase, and his most recent pre-trial was on May 18th with no update other than that.
