Hoboken, NJ Officers assigned to the Traffic/City unit respond to a call at a local street parking garage. The officer was dispatched to an unconscious female seated in her 2009 Toyota, with the vehicle ignition turned on. Upon discovery, the officers detected a strong alcohol odor and observed the female covered in vomit on her face, shirt and pants. The officers at the scene were able to unlock and open the driver side door to help up the female's head upright while turning the ignition off. The officers prompted her to regain consciousness, the female then apologized and expressed a desire to go home. She exhibited slow speech, droopy eyelids, and watery, glassy eyes, as the female admitted to being intoxicated. Despite her refusal of medical attention, the officer proposed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests The female could not stand still and would make incoherent statements. She displayed distinct nystagmus, interruptions demanding her brother's presence, and difficulty following instructions.
