On October 17th, 2022 Miami, Homestead Police beat up a man who was resisting arrest and sparked outrage amongst the migrant community. The footage shows a Homestead Police officer attempting to arrest Mateo Agosto, who, police said, did not cooperate. However, by the end of the video Agosto’s face is nowhere near the same as when the recording first begins. The incident unfolds as Agusto, speaking in Spanish, initially refuses to cooperate. This video provides a direct look into the event, raising questions about police procedures and communication during arrests involving language barriers. #PoliceBodycam #HomesteadPolice #ArrestFootage #MateoAgusto #policebrutality #lawenforcement #policeofficer #bodycam #ControversialArrest
