On September 10, 2024, Pierce Township Police Officers requested the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol to investigate a hit and run accident involving an 18-year-old woman suspected of driving impaired. Trooper Perry arrived to find the victim of the hit and run explaining the situation to the Pierce Township officer. Trooper Perry interviewed the driver of the at fault vehicle, but she was unwilling to talk. She also refused to submit to standardized field sobriety tests. After she was placed under arrest for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI), she started screaming for her mommy, who arrived at the scene. She was eventually transported to the Ohio Highway Patrol Post, where she refused to submit to a breath test. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
