On November 22, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, Highway Patrol officers spotted an intoxicated driver leading to a police chase. When the officers initiated a traffic stop the driver sped off on Interstate 10 the Santa Monica Freeway attempting to evade capture. The chase was captured on the officer's dashcam and no bodycam footage was available. The pursuit ended with the suspect apprehended for DUI in an alley off of Walton Avenue.
