On September 10, 2023. An officer from the Osseo Police Department and a State Trooper were chasing a vehicle at speeds over 130 MPH. The vehicle lost control and crashed. Multiple occupants fled but the State Trooper was able to detain the driver and placed him in the back of a patrol car before the video started. We were unable to get squad camera footage of the chase. The driver gave law enforcement the names of the occupants of the car and all three of the passengers were located at one residence. Nobody was seriously injured but the driver was taken to the hospital for a blood draw. A judge found the driver guilty on 2 counts of “Resisting/Failing to Stop and Operating While Intoxicated” and dismissed the rest of the charges. He was sentenced to an 18 month deferred prosecution program and ordered to pay $912 in fines. The three passengers received underaged drinking citations. This video is for educational purposes only.
