On September 24, 2025, officers responded to a property after a woman claimed she accepted a $100 Facebook job to tow away a trailer. But what she described as a simple pickup quickly turned into a tense investigation after the property owners said the trailer had been moved without permission. As officers tried to piece together both sides of the story, the situation became more complicated when damage to electrical equipment was discovered at the scene, with losses estimated in the tens of thousands of dollars.
