Charges: HOME INVASION/FIREARM HOME INVASION/FIREARM AGG ASSAULT/PEACE OFFICER/WEAPON ATTEMPT - MURDER - FIRST DEGREE BATTERY - CAUSE BODILY HARM Location: Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States Date: April, 11, 2018 (Wednesday) Chicago Police Department - Arrest Report - Incident Narrative: Event # 12430 this is a bwc incident and was viewed by arresting officer Sgt. Menoni. Offender in custody on signed complaints in that above offender without legal justification entered the above residence and took control of victim [name redacted] by force using a handgun. Victim [name redacted] then entered same above residence whereupon, he was confronted and struck in the right temple by said offender. Offender then dragged Victim [name redacted] into the basement towards the bathroom at which point above victim Sgt. Menoni entered the premises and discovered victim [name redacted] was being held hostage at gunpoint by the above offender in the basement of the residence. Sgt. Menoni then heard 1 gunshot coming from the basement at which point he approached observing victim [name redacted] being dragged into the bathroom by the above offender. Sgt. Menoni observed victim [name redacted] on the bathroom floor where above offender was crouched in the bath tub at which point, observed the offender raise his arm and point a semi-automatic handgun at Sgt. Menoni. Fearing for his life and the life of the victim [name redacted] Sgt. Menoni fired his weapon 4 times striking the offender about the body, at which point the offender dropped his weapon and Sgt. Menoni was able to place offender in custody without further incident. EMS was requested for both victim [name redacted] and above offender. This is a continuing investigation by ASA and Detective Roberts #20764.
