🚨 **POLICE PURSUIT ENDS WITH FELONY TAKEDOWN AFTER SUSPECT ATTEMPTS TO FLEE TRAFFIC STOP** On August 21, 2026, at approximately 5:23 PM, Trooper Carter Lazenby initiated a traffic stop on a black Ford Fusion after identifying the driver as **Tylon King**, who was confirmed to have active felony warrants through the Blytheville Police Department. As the traffic stop was initiated, King allegedly accelerated away, fleeing eastbound on East Moultrie Drive near 1st Street. The vehicle continued through heavy traffic, disregarding a posted stop sign and passing multiple vehicles. At approximately 5:24 PM, near North Lockard Street, Trooper Lazenby attempted a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI). The suspect vehicle abruptly braked, causing the vehicles to make contact and sideswipe the patrol unit, damaging the passenger side. A second TVI was then performed at approximately 36 MPH, successfully bringing the Ford Fusion to a stop. Troopers conducted a felony takedown and took King into custody without further incident. Following the arrest, King complained of head pain and was observed with a small scratch on the left side of his face. He also appeared unusually lethargic. Pafford EMS responded and evaluated King before clearing him for transport. A subsequent vehicle inventory allegedly uncovered a black bag containing approximately **0.5 grams of methamphetamine, 29 Xanax pills, approximately 3 grams of marijuana, rolling papers, and five cut straws consistent with narcotics consumption**. An open container of alcohol was also reportedly found on the passenger-side floorboard. Authorities also seized **seven cell phones and one tablet**. The evidence was later turned over to the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force. At the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office, Trooper Lazenby continued investigating possible impairment. King reportedly remained lethargic and was unable to successfully complete Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. King was read the Arkansas Statement of Rights and signed the form before refusing to submit to a chemical test for alcohol or controlled substances. King was booked into the Mississippi County Detention Center on charges including **Felony Fleeing in a Vehicle, Reckless Driving in the First Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Schedule I, II and VI Controlled Substances, DWI 1st Offense (Drugs), Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, Open Container, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and multiple traffic violations.** King is currently awaiting a probable cause hearing.
