On July 14, 2023, University of Wisconsin (Oshkosh) police officers observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. The driver also allegedly failed to stop at a flashing red light. She explained that it was her birthday and she wasn't familiar with the area. When asked if she had consumed any alcohol, she admitted to having numerous drinks, but she was confident that she was sober enough to drive. She was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the end of the tests, she submitted to a portable breath test and the result was 0.112% BAC. She was arrested for DUI and was transported to the University police station. She submitted to an evidential breath test and the results were 0.120% and 0.116% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
