Arkansas State Police joined a high-speed pursuit after the Saline County Sheriff's Office requested assistance with a fleeing suspect on July 21, 2026.** Troopers intercepted the pursuit near the intersection of Alexander Road and Vimy Ridge, where the suspect sped past at a high rate of speed. The chase continued onto the South Service Road, through Otter Creek Loop, and across Otter Creek Parkway, where the driver traveled the wrong way over an overpass before continuing north. The pursuit then moved onto State Highway 5, with speeds exceeding **100 mph** as the suspect showed no regard for the safety of other motorists. The chase continued through West Baseline Road, Colonel Miller Road, Crystal Valley Road, and Raines Road before the suspect left the pavement and entered the back entrance of Carter's Off-Road Park. After driving through the park's dirt trails and powerline roads, the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled into the woods on foot. Bryant Police K-9 units initially searched the area but suspended the effort due to extreme heat. An Arkansas State Police helicopter remained overhead for nearly **three hours**, providing continuous aerial support and preventing the suspect from escaping.
