On August 16, 2025, officers responded to a reported hit-and-run. The victim followed the suspect’s vehicle until deputies arrived and conducted a traffic stop. During the crash investigation, officers suspected the driver was impaired. She admitted to drinking earlier, showed signs of intoxication, and refused to perform field sobriety tests. An inventory of her vehicle revealed multiple open and empty alcohol containers. The driver was arrested and transported to jail, where she refused to provide a lawful breath test and continued resisting the booking process.
