On June 15, 2025, police in Des Plaines, Illinois, were dispatched to a local bar where it was reported a disorderly patron was being verbally and physically abusive with staff. Officers learned the dispute originated over an unpaid tab the patron insisted she had settled. She also claimed to be in a romantic relationship with a state police officer. After tensions escalated, police made an arrest, and discovered the suspect to be in possession of controlled substances.
