On January 29, 2025, a deputy conducted a traffic stop for an improper stop/turn. The deputy immediately smelled alcohol and spotted an open beer can in the driver's center console. The driver, became argumentative and uncooperative, refusing multiple commands to exit the vehicle. When deputies informed her she was being detained, she began to physically resist arrest, flailing her arms, bracing, and kicking. After being secured, she accused the deputies of being racist. She was ultimately arrested and charged with DUI and Resisting an Officer Without Violence.
