Upon running the tag, they discovered the tag was not assigned to any vehicle. After the arrest, officers continued to investigate the vehicles. They later discovered the trailer tag was stolen from a different boat trailer. On the boat, they found two rivets where a hull identification number was removed from the vessel. Larry was ultimately charged with driving while designated as a habitual traffic offender, possession of a Schedule II substance, unlawfully attaching a registration license plate not assigned, operating an unregistered and unnumbered boat, felony petit theft, and possession of a vessel with an altered Hull ID number. He pled no contest and was adjudicated guilty of all charges. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and ordered to pay $780.00 in costs and fines.
