On May 3, 2025, officers with the Key West Police Department responded to a hotel in reference to a verbal disturbance involving a male subject. Earlier in the evening, officers had been called to the same location after the subject reportedly threatened hotel security and caused damage to a room where he had been staying with his girlfriend. Officers issued a trespass warning, escorted him to retrieve his belongings, and had him removed from the property. Just after midnight, police were called back after the same individual returned to the hotel. Upon contact, he became verbally aggressive, ignored commands, and attempted to walk away from the scene. When informed he was being detained, he used profane and racially charged language and physically resisted while being placed in handcuffs. A witness reported that the subject had returned to the hotel parking lot yelling obscenities and making inappropriate gestures. He allegedly directed threats and racial slurs toward the witness and others, prompting a second law enforcement response. He was taken into custody and booked at the Monroe County Detention Center. Multiple charges were filed as a result of the incident, and the legal process is currently ongoing. #bodycam #police #cops #bwc #policebodycamera #copcam #copcar #arrest #arrested #bwc #BodycamFootage #KeyWestPolice #ResistingArrest #DisorderlyConduct #PoliceVideo 📢 Legal & Content Disclaimer The individuals featured in this video are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
