On June 14, 2024, Upper Arlington Police Officer Voght observed a vehicle traveling with a headlight out. When he attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver turned into the exit lane of a private driveway leading to a hotel. Officer Voght made contact with the 19-year-old woman, who was driving on a suspended license. When she was asked to provide her name and date of birth, she purposely misspelled her first and last name, gave the incorrect initial for her middle name, and gave a false birthdate. Unfortunately, Officer Voght did not detect any of this, as he merely ran the vehicle's license plate through his dispatcher. The woman told another lie when she denied consuming alcohol. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was eventually arrested for DUI. She finally admitted to having two shots at a local restaurant (even though she is only 19-years-old). At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.132% BAC. She was charged with 7 different violations, which are discussed at the end of the video. Her vehicle was towed and she was released to the custody of a Lyft driver.
