Law enforcement officers face a series of unpredictable encounters on the night shift that prove a routine traffic stop is rarely just about a broken headlight or a missed stop sign. The evening begins with a dangerous gamble when a driver abandons his vehicle while it is still in motion, sparking a frantic chase through a housing complex. As the suspect is taken into custody, the weight of his choices becomes clear when he reveals he ran because of an outstanding warrant and a fear for his life. The pressure continues as a K9 unit is called to the scene of a suspicious stop near a local hotel where a search turns up illegal substances hidden among personal paperwork.
