On February 6th, 2023, officers in New Mexico were dispatched following a report of an intoxicated driver. The caller reported the vehicle hit a curb before running a red light. Initially, the officers were unable to locate the silver Toyota. Shortly after, an off-duty officer and another officer located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop for the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle admitted to officers that he had consumed two shots of vodka earlier. The driver agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests but performed poorly and was placed under arrest for suspected DWI. After being transferred to the police station, the suspect gave two breath samples that read 0.11 and 0.10 BAC. The situation escalated as officers began to transfer the suspect to jail, where the suspect became combative, refusing to exit the holding cell. Despite multiple warnings and commands from the officers, the male suspect refused to cooperate, assuming a fighting stance and challenging the officers. The suspect was eventually placed into custody and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was medically cleared. The suspect was then transferred to jail. The suspect was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Reckless Driving, Driving While License Revoked, Resisting, Evading, or Obstructing An Officer, and Open Container. #police #bodycam #cops ~~~ ** Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only.
