On March 1, 2023, Lakewood Police Officer Flowers noticed a vehicle drifting towards the right side of the roadway outside of its lane of travel. He pulled up along side of the vehicle and noticed that one of its headlights were out. He initiated a traffic stop and alleges that he detected a moderate amount of alcohol on the breath of the female driver. Ironically, she indicated she was coming from a friend's house. He asked her to recite the alphabet without singing it and after getting to the letter "U", she abruptly stops and admits that she is drunk. After failing the field sobriety exercises, she is arrested for DUI. While waiting for a female police officer to arrive to search her, she has a profanity laced emotional conversation with the officers (mostly about how she has no friends that can come and pick her up from the police station). The police report indicates that she eventually blew a 0.180% breath alcohol concentration.
