On November 2, 2025, officers from the Princeton Police Department were dispatched for a residential burglar alarm but arrived to find a catastrophic single-vehicle crash. A driver operating an Audi at a high rate of speed ignored a stop sign, drove over a curb, uprooted several trees, and launched the vehicle airborne before crashing directly into a residential garage. The violent collision dislodged a load-bearing post, pushed debris into a parked Mercedes Benz, and caused severe structural damage to the foundation of the home. Officers located the driver nearby attempting to walk away, noting clear signs of impairment including bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and an inability to maintain balance. After failing multiple field sobriety tests and admitting to drinking, the driver was taken into custody for suspected impairment. The individual was subsequently transported for a medical evaluation and a blood draw before being charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and multiple other offenses These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
