Officers were dispatched to a crowded sunset celebration on July 31, 2026, after reports that a woman was harassing vendors and refusing to leave a private event. Bodycam footage shows an officer locating the woman among the crowd and spending several minutes walking with her away from the event. She continues speaking with the officer as they move through the busy waterfront area and eventually approach several police vehicles. When the officer attempts to take her into custody beside a patrol SUV, the encounter becomes more physical as he works to control her arms and place her in handcuffs. The woman is eventually secured, placed inside a police vehicle, and transported from the scene. Later footage shows her being removed from the vehicle and escorted into a detention facility. She was charged with trespassing and resisting an officer without violence. The footage does not show the final court disposition, and criminal charges alone do not establish guilt.
