On November 13, 2023, in Pomona, California Highway Patrol officers attempted to stop a silver Audi TT that had fled a traffic stop on Holt Avenue. The vehicle had been pulled over after leaving the Deluxe Motel parking lot, and officers noticed it had illegally tinted windows and no license plates only a paper sticker affixed to the rear. The officers pursued the car at speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour for several blocks before discontinuing the chase due to the suspect's reckless driving. The officers then returned to the Deluxe Motel, where they gathered information about the driver and obtained a copy of his Nevada driver's license. The driver was identified as Ryan Lewis Robinson. Additionally, a motel employee provided video footage showing Robinson exiting room 114 and getting into the silver Audi TT. At 5:04 AM, the Audi was found abandoned on Monterey Avenue, west of Hamilton Boulevard, partially blocking a lane. The car was towed and impounded by S & J Towing. A DMV records check revealed that Robinson’s driver’s license had been suspended. A copy of the officers' report was forwarded to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for further review and potential prosecution for the following charges: 2800.2(A - Evasion - Wanton Disregard for Safety 14601.1(A) VC Driving on a Suspended License #california #police #cops #chp #pomona #pursuit
