On April 7th, 2018, a group of teenagers in Lehigh Acres, Florida called a taxi to a dark, dead-end road, and waited. When 46-year-old driver Hinso Estriplet pulled up, two of them opened fire through his windows and took what he had. Thirteen-year-old Angel Arellano didn't call the taxi. He didn't pull the trigger. But he was in the car, and he knew exactly what was about to happen. When detectives brought him in, he had a story ready. He was home that night. He didn't know anything about a taxi driver. He held that story for hours, until a detective told him something he never expected: the taxi had a camera mounted on the rearview mirror. He'd told people it didn't work. It never stopped recording. This is the interrogation, the lies, the contradictions, the moment his own story turned against him, and the one honest answer he gave that had nothing to do with the crime at all.
