A dramatic body camera video shows deputies responding to a call about a woman passed out inside a hot vehicle—with her toddler inside. Officers arrived just in time to rescue the unharmed child from the sweltering car and provide emergency care. But the scene quickly escalated: the woman resisted arrest, allegedly kicking a deputy in the groin and even biting another officer. After receiving medical attention at West Boca Medical Center, she was booked on multiple serious charges—including child neglect, child abuse, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest with violence. Why this video matters: It highlights how quickly routine welfare checks can devolve into dangerous confrontations—and how officers must be prepared to handle volatile situations while protecting vulnerable children.
