Recruits have been getting a reality check in the academy, coming face to face with scenarios where suspects are armed and unpredictable. Split-second decisions can mean the difference between life and death. We're documenting Police Recruit Class 242 as they go through the 22-week Law Enforcement Academy at St. Petersburg College. We asked recruits to tell us about their experiences over the last few weeks as they went through Fundamentals of Patrol and Firearms blocks. Think the academy is for you? We've got openings for Detention and Corrections Recruit and very soon we'll have openings for Law Enforcement Recruit.
