On March 18, 2023, in Webb Lake, Wisconsin, at around 11 pm, a state patrol officer spotted a man on a snowmobile parked on the road's shoulder with its lights turned off. The officer immediately suspected the man, named Raymond, was intoxicated and after identifying him, proceeded to run FST's. After the FST's the man became resistive. Thankfully, another officer arrived on scene and assisted in arresting him. Raymond stated multiple times that he believed his left elbow was broken. He was transported to the Burnett County Government Center to put a transport belt on him due to his repeated complaints that his elbow was broken. Raymond was then taken to the hospital to examine his elbow and do a blood draw for evidentiary purposes. Emergency staff confirmed his elbow was in fact not broken. Reports indicated that Raymond's BAC was 0.248. It was found through a records check that Raymond had at least 4 prior DUI's in Minnesota and 1 OWI in Wisconsin. He was charged with operating a snowmobile with prohibited alcohol concentration, first offense, resisting or obstructing an officer, operating a snowmobile without a headlight, operating a snowmobile while intoxicated, and snowmobiler breathalyzer refusal. He was found guilty of resisting or obstructing and operating a snowmobile without a headlight. ❓Inquiries: LensOfLaw@gmail.com ☕Support Me: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/lensoflaw 🔗My Links: https://lensoflaw.com The content we highlight is designed to provide a real-life glimpse into the encounters of law enforcement, not to demean or belittle those featured.
