Officers were sent to a sidewalk over reports of people smoking narcotics. One officer tells a man he can throw his trash away, then changes his mind. What follows is a ground fight, strikes to his head, and bystanders asking for badge numbers. He was booked on two misdemeanors, resisting an officer and encroachment. Both officers wrote that they used open hands. Internal Affairs reviewed three body cameras and sustained force findings against both. His belongings sat in a cart beside him. It started with a request to throw away trash. Was the force justified? Tell us below. DISCLAIMER: This footage is public record, obtained through a public records request.
