A welfare check in Truman, Arkansas led police to a horrifying discovery inside a home occupied by Samantha Platz, 38, and her associates. Officers initially responded to concerns about a 10-year-old child living in unsafe conditions, but what they found went far beyond neglect. Inside the residence, police encountered overwhelming filth, drug paraphernalia, and multiple suspects hiding in a backyard shed. The situation escalated when investigators opened two deep freezers and discovered 24 dead cats and kittens stored alongside frozen food. Some animals appeared to have been frozen alive. Bodie Williams was charged with multiple drug offenses and animal cruelty, while Samantha Platz also faces 24 counts of aggravated animal cruelty and child endangerment. The child was removed from the home, which was later condemned as uninhabitable. Watch the incident unfold on this episode of Law&Crime BodyCam.
