Westfield, NJ Police responded to a call and observed a vehicle matching a suspect description for fleeing the scene of a hit and run. Police then conducted a traffic stop on a Mercedes Benz which had also struck the curb. The suspect was argumentative and denied the collision. Damage on her vehicle matched the crash report. She appeared confused and displayed signs of impairment but denied consuming alcohol. She failed several sobriety tests, including reciting the alphabet, following a pen with her eyes, walking heel-to-toe, and standing on one leg.
