On February 16, 2025, Bernalillo County deputies responded to a disturbing call—two children, just 7 and 9 years old, were reportedly armed and refusing to drop a loaded gun. Bodycam footage shows the intense standoff as officers attempt to de-escalate the situation, using non-lethal rounds to safely disarm the kids without injury. This shocking incident raises serious concerns about youth access to firearms, law enforcement decision-making, and how such events impact communities. We break down exactly what happened, the officers' tactics, and what authorities still don’t know—like how these kids got a gun in the first place. #PoliceStandoff #BodycamFootage #YouthGunSafety #BernalilloCounty #LawEnforcement #TrueCrime #NonLethalForce BE NICE: The individuals presented in these videos may be suffering from the effects of alcohol, drug abuse, a mental health disorder or simply having a bad day.
