This documentary follows the West Midlands Fire Service, a dedicated team of 1,200 firefighters, as they face the daily perils of protecting over 2.5 million people. We see their work through a unique lens, thanks to helmet cameras capturing the raw intensity of their responses. Just weeks after the tragic Grenfell Tower fire, a high-rise blaze sends shockwaves through Birmingham, challenging firefighters and terrifying residents. Watch as crews navigate smoke-filled floors and address widespread panic, all while investigating the fire's mysterious origin. The courage of these first responders is further tested when a man's leg becomes trapped under a 10-ton bus, forcing a complex and high-stakes rescue operation. Beyond the fires and emergencies, the documentary also explores the lasting impact of Grenfell on public trust and how fire safety officers work to reassure anxious communities.
