On March 3, 2023, the Canton Fire Department was dispatched to a woman who had fallen asleep behind the wheel of her vehicle. Upon arrival, the fire department called the police department. The arriving police officers instantly recognize the woman from her previous DUI arrests. This is her 3rd DUI in Ohio in less than 3 years. She was arrested and taken to the police station for a breath alcohol testing and a urine test. The breath alcohol test came back under 0.08. Although the laboratory report for the urine screening was not provided, the urine test must have come back positive because the woman pled guilty to her 3rd DUI on May 16, 2023. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, a fine of $850, and her license was suspended for 3 years (which obviously means nothing because she was already driving on a suspended license).
