A six-year-old girl's collapse at school uncovers a horrific household of cocaine addiction, sexual abuse, and a father’s "depraved indifference" to human life. Season 1 Episode 19 'Indifference': When Didi Lowenstein dies from severe head injuries, detectives discover her parents are heavy drug users living in a cycle of domestic violence. While her mother, Carla, admitted to the physical abuse under the influence of cocaine, the investigation reveals that her father, Dr. Jacob Lowenstein, was a Reichian therapist selling drugs to his own patients. Stone secures a murder conviction by proving that Jacob arrived home to find his daughter bleeding and unconscious but chose to let her die rather than call for medical help.
