On January 17, 2025, Hoboken Police Officers were called to the CVS store where employees were keeping track of a woman who was allegedly shoplifting. Officers attempted to escort the 32-year-old woman out of the store, but she refused to leave. Store employees indicates that she had concealed merchandise in the lining of her jacket. When officers searched the jacket, a total of $72.79 worth of unpaid merchandise was located. The woman was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She was eventually booked into the Hudson County Correctional Facility. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
