This is the shocking police body camera footage from the August 13, 2025, arrest of Scott Deiseroth, a 42-year-old man who identified himself as an agent for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a division of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The incident occurred in the Florida Keys after the Monroe County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) received a call about a reckless driver near Mile Marker 40 on U.S. Highway 1. MCSO Deputy Jonathan Lane ultimately stopped the vehicle near Mile Marker 36.5. Inside, the deputy found Deiseroth and two young children. The arrest report indicates the officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol, and Deiseroth appeared disoriented and failed standardized field sobriety exercises. He was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including a Second Degree Misdemeanor for DUI with a person under 18 in the vehicle (Florida Statute 316.193.4) and a Third Degree Felony for Neglect of a Child Without Great Bodily Harm (Florida Statute 827.03.2d). The presence of minors under the age of 18 in the car at the time of the alleged DUI significantly elevates the misdemeanor charge, and the alleged neglect of a child is a serious felony offense in Florida. The children were safely released to a family member, and the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) was notified of the incident.
