A man stole a Bud Light truck from a liquor store in broad daylight and led Indiana deputies on a multi-county chase, and the moment it ended was caught on bodycam. Randall Baker, 41, allegedly stole the Bud Light tractor-trailer from a North Governor Street liquor store around 3 PM on March 27, 2026 while the driver was still unloading it. The driver had to jump out of the moving truck as Baker took off. Within minutes half a dozen Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office cruisers were in pursuit, chasing the truck through multiple counties as Baker refused every order to pull over. When deputies tried to stop him with spike strips, Baker did not swerve toward them. Instead, he plowed the full weight of the Bud Light truck directly into Deputy Jared Zwilling's cruiser at high speed, sending it careening 30 feet and totaling it completely. The deputy had stepped to the side of the road just moments before impact. "When I was playing it back in my head, I thought I was a lot further away," Zwilling said after watching his own bodycam footage. "But when I watched the video, I was pretty close. 10 yards maybe." Baker crashed into a field and still refused to get out. Deputies surrounded the truck and forced him out with pepper ball rounds. His blood alcohol content was 0.103, over the legal limit. He was charged with attempted murder, auto theft, and multiple other felonies. Deputy Zwilling walked away without a scratch. His cruiser did not. ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This footage is shared for educational and informational purposes only. All footage is publicly released by law enforcement agencies.
