Jamie Arnold ran a stop sign in Georgia hard enough that a piece of her car broke off at the scene. She didn't stop. She drove home, told her mother what happened, and got in the shower. A few minutes later, an officer knocked on the door with that piece of her car in his hand. What followed is one of the most honest interactions we've seen on bodycam. Jamie's mother answers the door and tells the officer the truth before he even has to ask. "Yeah. I'm not gonna lie. She's been drinking." She mentions she was just watching police videos on TV when the knock came. "I thought, 'Oh, no.'" Jamie comes out of the shower. Admits she had "two or three." Can't remember hitting the stop sign. Consents to field sobriety. Loses count on the walk and turn and apologizes repeatedly. "I've been watching way too many videos." She's arrested for DUI. Cries through the arrest. Says "Oh, Mom, I'm so sorry." Her mother says she loves her. On the way to the patrol car, the officer asks if she's ever been arrested before. Jamie laughs and asks, "Is it obvious?" No injuries. First-time offender. The mother on the porch puts it best: "This is probably the biggest wake-up call she can get."
