On July 27, 2025, just before midnight, deputies in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, were working a DUI investigation along Southern Boulevard. While on scene, a black Mercedes pulled up, driven by a woman later identified as Jennifer. She stopped in the middle of traffic, blocking passing vehicles, and demanded to pick up her brother’s truck, which was being towed. Deputies told her multiple times to leave the area, warning that refusal could lead to her arrest. After about ten minutes, she left, only to return shortly after in the same vehicle. Jennifer again refused to leave and told deputies she was on the phone with 911. When instructed to step out of her car, she refused. As a deputy reached through her open driver’s side window in an attempt to unlock the door, Jennifer suddenly accelerated forward, striking the deputy with the side of her vehicle. She drove about 50 feet before stopping. As the deputy approached again, Jennifer accelerated forward a second time, repeating the maneuver twice before fleeing down the road. Deputies quickly got back into their vehicles, activated emergency lights, and initiated a traffic stop. Even while speaking with 911 dispatch, Jennifer told operators she was not going to stop for deputies. She eventually pulled over after about 500 feet. Once stopped, she was ordered out of the vehicle and taken into custody without further struggle.
