CASE 1: SIX AGENCIES (Salt Lake City, Utah, January 2025) A stolen truck, a pursuit that crossed city lines, and a crash in Riverton that brought officers from six different police agencies to the same front yard. Footage released by the Salt Lake City Police Department. The West Jordan Police Department led an independent investigation, which was turned over to the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office to review whether the officers' actions were legally justified. CASE 2: ANCHORAGE HOTEL STANDOFF (Anchorage, Alaska, February 2025) A hostage situation inside a hotel room in Midtown Anchorage that ended with a SWAT entry nearly five hours later. Footage released by the Anchorage Police Department. The state's Office of Special Prosecutions reviewed the officers' use of force and cleared the officers in May 2025. Both cases were released earlier as separate videos. This is the full version of each, joined for anyone who wants to watch them in one sitting. Where they differ, APD's account is the one to rely on. APD says the initial call was about a possible stolen vehicle near the hotel; that officers learned there were six people in the room, five of them held against their will, including children; and that all of the hostages were removed from the room and received medical attention. Details such as the number of gunshots and the exact timing of events are best taken from APD's published summary. All footage was released by the police departments named above.
