Akron police officer, while patrolling Route 8, observed a vehicle with an obscured license plate, rendering it unreadable. Despite the heavy downpour, the officer managed to overtake a vehicle that was significantly exceeding the posted speed limit in a construction zone. Initiating a traffic stop, the officer engaged with the driver, who was found to be without a valid license. Undeterred by this revelation, the driver requested permission to drive away to relieve himself. The officer informed him that he was not permitted to operate the vehicle and suggested he use the roadside instead. After addressing this incident, the officer proceeded to respond to another call. ⚠️Note: Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All persons featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
