Marion County deputies tracked a felony battery suspect to a remote property, but the situation took a sharp turn when the suspect fled into a cramped camper and refused to come out. Watch as the K9 unit is deployed to breach the hideout and bring the suspect into custody. In this video, we break down the body cam and fleet cam footage of the high-stakes apprehension of 32-year-old James H. Hearnden. After refusing multiple commands to surrender, the K9 makes contact, leading to a tense extraction and a subsequent medical assessment on the scene. Case Outcome: James Hearnden was booked into the Marion County Jail on his outstanding warrant and a new charge of Resisting Without Violence. Court records show he was adjudicated guilty, sentenced to 8 days in jail, and ordered to pay $438 in fines.
