#CrimeCamNow On December 10, 2022, Dunwoody Police were called to a Marriott hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, regarding an argument between a man and a woman. Upon arrival, officers encountered an intoxicated woman on the phone. She explained that a male co-worker was refusing to leave her hotel room, which had been rented by their company. She also claimed the man had threatened her by mentioning a gun. The woman informed officers that she had contacted her employer about the situation. Officers, accompanied by hotel security, went to the room to investigate. As they approached, the man exited the room and attempted to leave. Officers stopped him for questioning, during which he denied the woman's claims, stating he neither mentioned a gun nor possessed one. To resolve the situation, officers informed both parties they needed to leave the hotel. The woman agreed without issue, but the man began yelling and arguing. Despite being repeatedly told to leave the property, he insisted he had booked a separate room, claimed he had done nothing wrong, and refused to comply Hotel security confirmed that the management wanted him off the premises. Once outside the hotel, officers again asked the man to leave, but he continued shouting, claiming he had paid for his room and had the right to stay. When officers moved to arrest him, he fled on foot. After a short chase, he tripped and fell, allowing officers to take him into custody without further incident. While in the back of the patrol car, the man repeatedly insisted he had done nothing wrong, threatened to file a lawsuit, and mocked the officers, suggesting they should find work in another county. Despite his behavior, officers remained calm and professional. He was charged with three counts of disorderly conduct and transported to DeKalb County Jail.
