During a late-night patrol of Seven Gables Park in Wheaton, Illinois, an officer observed a black Toyota Corolla pull into the closed parking lot. The driver briefly exited the vehicle and ran toward a nearby tree line before returning to the driver's seat. When the officer approached to advise that the park was closed, a strong odor of alcohol was detected, and the driver appeared to have bloodshot, glassy eyes. Despite denying alcohol consumption, the driver agreed to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, showing multiple clues of impairment during the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus and Walk and Turn tests. After refusing a preliminary breath test, the individual was taken into custody for DUI and a park hours violation. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
