A terrifying scene unfolded inside New York City’s Grand Central subway station after police say 44-year-old Anthony Griffin slashed three people with a large blade. Bodycam footage shows officers ordering him to drop the weapon again and again. One detective tries to talk him down, telling him nobody wants to hurt him, but Griffin keeps moving with the knife raised. Then the moment turns even darker. Police say Griffin shouted that he did not want to be there, told officers to shoot him, and at one point said, “I am Lucifer.” Seconds later, an officer fired two shots, and Griffin collapsed. The three victims, ages 84, 65, and 70, suffered serious cuts, including injuries to the head and face. Police said the officers gave repeated commands before the shooting happened.
