On June 3, 2025, around 10:00 p.m., officers from the LAPD Olympic Patrol Division responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment complex on Ardmore Avenue. Upon arrival, they encountered 35-year-old Ronald Gainer Jr., armed with a firearm, exiting an apartment. An officer-involved shooting occurred, during which Gainer was struck by gunfire but retreated back inside. He was later taken into custody without further incident and transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators determined Gainer had been involved in a domestic violence incident earlier that evening. After his girlfriend fled, he fired shots into the air and at a nearby apartment, prompting the emergency call. No officers or civilians were injured. Police recovered a Smith & Wesson M&P .40 caliber handgun, empty magazines, shell casings, and additional firearms and ammunition from the scene. The Force Investigation Division and California DOJ are investigating the incident. 👉 For more videos like this, click here https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLg53t8jCpadX_8bvv6djgEYy_AUIvu6_&feature=shared #police #arrest #bodycam @CrimeTimeBodyCam Crime Time Body Cam
