On October 27, 2024, Lacey Police Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident. The at-fault vehicle was being driven by a 30-year-old woman. She claimed she was coming from The Log Cabin Bar and Grill, where she admitted to consuming 3 alcoholic beverages. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, but would not provide a breath sample for a portable breath test. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Lacey Police Station. She provided breath samples for an evidential breath test and the lowest result was 0.246% BAC (more than 3 times the legal limit). She was booked on a charge of Driving Under the Influence.
