St. Lucie County, Florida – on 11/3/25, police responded to a domestic disturbance involving a teenage girl who was reportedly making threats against members of her family. When officers arrived, the teenager approached a police cruiser carrying a metal shovel and repeatedly struck the hood of the vehicle. Officers quickly exited the cruiser and took her into custody. While being detained, she continued kicking and striking the inside of the police vehicle. Officers then spoke with the family, who explained that the teenager had been involved in a violent episode involving threats toward family members and damage to personal property. The family also reported contacting the Veterans Crisis Line after concerns arose that the teenager was attempting to obtain a weapon and harm herself or members of the family. The incident ultimately resulted in the teenager being arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief.
