Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies respond to a late-night domestic disturbance at a duplex on Palm Harbor Parkway. A woman comes home drunk from a night out and goes to her male roommate's room upstairs. What happens next depends on who you believe. She says they were together and he kicked her down the stairs. He says she showed up uninvited, tried to give him a hickey he didn't want, and denies anything physical happened. Her account of how she ended up at the bottom of the stairs changes multiple times on camera. Deputies can't determine what happened due to the conflicting statements and attempt to separate both parties for the night. The woman owns both units of the duplex but refuses to go to her own bedroom in the other unit despite saying she fears for her safety. She demands he be arrested. She demands he be sent to a hotel. She threatens to call 911 while deputies are standing right in front of her. They warn her not to. The situation escalates when deputies enter the home at the invitation of the male resident. The woman slams the door in their faces, blocks entry, and ultimately spits in a deputy's face. She is placed under arrest and charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer. From the back of the patrol car she threatens to sue, says she owns two businesses, and tells the deputy she spit on that she would do it again. Meanwhile her 9-year-old son has been home alone in the other unit the entire time. Her sister won't answer the phone. Her mother arrives at 3 in the morning.
