Mackenzie Shirilla pre-sentence jail call: "Court went the opposite of what I thought it was gonna go" "I thought they were gonna see the truth and then it got f-ed up," Mackenzie tells her BFF in this jail phone call. Faythe is at the emergency vet with her dog, and Mackenzie is talking to inmates in the background before the call connects, confessing that she's having a hard time reading the penmanship: "You got a cucci tattoo? IDK I cannot read cursive!" Mackenzie says she'll be transferred to Marysville on Monday or later, so this must be the week prior to her August 21, 2023, sentencing, but after her August 14, 2023, guilty verdict. They talk more about who is doing what and how one girl shared an article about Mackenzie's conviction with the comment, "Yup." That made Mackenzie angry and she said she knew she had a bad feeling about the girl, but she praised Faythe for being like a sister to her. Once again Mackenzie is "weirded out" by Rosie for removing the photos of her from Instagram. Faythe says Rosie contacted her and asked about coming to court [for the verdict, I presume, since Rosie was a potential witness and couldn't sit in earlier hearings] but Faythe was already downtown and Rosie didn't want to come to Cleveland alone.
